I’m all about over priced goods, but something is wrong here when you could buy some cordovan watch straps or some Horween Chromexcel hand sewn in the USA moccasins for the same price.
Clearly, the markup on these is friggin insane. However, this does give you a small indication of how time and labor intensive, (read: expensive) producing shell cordovan really is. Stainless hardware also adds a few bones to the cost as well.
Corvus has been selling Horween Shell Cordovan Natos for sometime. They are also $30 cheaper shipped…
